Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident when you subscribe to JobPylot. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and what to expect after you do.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions and one-time purchases made directly through JobPylot. It works alongside our Terms of Service — where this policy is silent, the Terms apply.

2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial paid subscription purchase, for any reason. To qualify:

  • The request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the initial charge.
  • The guarantee applies only to your first paid subscription — it does not apply to renewals, upgrades, or repeat purchases.
  • Accounts showing signs of abuse (for example, excessive bulk resume or cover letter generation) may be excluded at our discretion.

3. Monthly Subscriptions

Outside the 7-day window, monthly subscription fees are generally non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.

4. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full 12-month term. Outside the 7-day guarantee, annual plans are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual plan mid-term, you will continue to have access until the end of the paid period, after which the subscription will not renew.

5. Automatic Renewals

All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. To avoid renewal charges, cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the next billing date from your account settings.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally not eligible for a refund:

  • Subscription renewals after the initial 7-day window.
  • Partial months or unused portions of a billing cycle.
  • One-time add-ons or credits that have already been used or consumed.
  • Purchases made through third-party app stores or resellers — those are governed by the third party's refund policy.
  • Accounts terminated for violations of our Terms of Service.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

We may issue refunds outside the standard policy at our discretion — for example, in cases of duplicate charges, confirmed billing errors, or prolonged service outages that prevented you from using the Services. Contact us with the details and we will review your request in good faith.

8. Purchases Through App Stores

If you subscribed through a third-party platform (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), refund requests must be made directly to that platform under its refund policy. We do not have the ability to process refunds for purchases we did not bill directly.

9. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, reach out through our contact page and include:

  • The email address associated with your JobPylot account.
  • The date and amount of the charge.
  • A brief reason for the request.

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

10. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly — most disputes are faster and simpler to handle this way. Accounts with unresolved chargebacks may be suspended pending review.

11. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where local law grants stronger refund or cancellation rights than those described here, those rights apply.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Services. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
